Já são conhecidos os vencedores do Paris Photo–Aperture Foundation PhotoBook Awards que são organizados em duas categorias: First PhotoBook e PhotoBook of the Year. Nesta última categoria foi reconhecido A01 [COD.19.1.1.43] — A27 [S | COD.23], de Rosângela Rennó (edição de autor). O prémio para melhor primeiro fotolivro foi atribuído a KARMA, de Óscar Monzón (RVB Books/Dalpine). na categoria PhotoBook of the Year o júri decidiu ainda atribuir uma menção especial ao livro War/Photography: Images of Armed Conflict and Its Aftermath, de vários autores e concebido por Anne Wilkes Tucker e Will Michels e Natalie Zelt.
Em 2012, os prémios foram para Concresco, de David Galjaard,
edição de autor (First PhotoBook) e City Diary, de Anders Petersen, Steidl
(PhotoBook of the Year went to).
O livro de Rosângela Rennó já tinha vencido um prémio nos
Encontros de Fotografia de Arles deste ano.
Todos os livros finalistas serão alvo de crítica e análise
no jornal PhotoBook Review, a publicação bianual da Aperture especializada em
fotolivros.
