XDR-TB

Em 2007, o fotojornalista James Nachtwey foi galardoado com o TED Prize. Com os 100 mil dólares que recebeu, Nachtwey andou por várias zonas do globo para fotografar a luta contra uma nova mutação do bacilo da tuberculose que está a fazer milhares de vítimas, a XDR-TB (extremely drug-resistant tuberculosis). Parte desse trabalho foi revelado hoje através de um slideshow na página XDRTB.org e vai ser publicado num especial de oito páginas da revista Time. O slideshow será também projectado em várias cidades do mundo incluindo Nova Iorque, Paris, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Seul, Hong Kong e Londres.
